Skunlip
Novelist KP returns to the setting of her first novel, Skunlip, to find it bears an even closer resemblance to how she depicted it. She finds herself simultaneously worshipped and resented by the town’s residents, particularly by her old mentor, James, a tour-guide who goes to extreme lengths to inspire her.
The production was accompanied by a live score by musicians, Deniz Dortok and Marïra Liaskovets. It was the first play to be performed in the attic of The George Tavern for over a decade.
Ben Miles: ‘an intriguing, original play. It has an uncanny character: poetic and intricate, yet instantly accessible and familiar.’ ‘Compelling, witty and unique’, Four Stars from Review’s Hub.
